Electro-Industrial

Electro-industrial is a music genre drawing on EBM and industrial music that developed in the mid-1980s. While EBM has a minimal structure and clean production, electro-industrial has a deep, complex and layered sound. The style was pioneered by Skinny Puppy, Front Line Assembly, and other groups, either from Canada or the Benelux. In the mid-'90s, the style spawned the dark electro and aggrotech offshoots. The fan base for the style is linked to the rivethead subculture (although not everyone who primarily listens to industrial is a rivethead).

For 10 years East German Dark-Wave-Electro-project Absurd Minds of singer Stefan Grossman have played on national and international stages. Started as a home studio project by Tilo Ladwig and Stefan Grossman, the way of the band rapidly changed in 1999 with their first gig at the scene club "Bunker" in Dresden: They ended up with a label contract on "Scanner" by Frank d'Angelo. Even the first release, the 2000's album "Deception", struck with great force into the heart of the dark scene. Several albums and singles have been released in the following years. Based on their initial success and the progress they had made, they were given a permanent place in the alternative music scene. Stylistically inspired by the electro of the early 90’s Absurd Minds are a successful synthesis of melodic pop, powerful EBM and profound lyrics, that forms a coherent unit unparalleled so far. Owed to that style Absurd Minds now have a very large and enthusiastic global fan base. Combichrist, the post-apocalyptic Electro-act that is currently touring Europe with Rammstein is releasing a brand-new menacing club smasher in form of Scarred, the third single from the highly successful album release Today We Are All Demons. Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland has spiced up the massive, new single version of the track with some smashing guitar work. After a decade, fans will rejoice for the new studio album by the legendary X Marks The Pedwalk, whose influence in the industrial and electronic music scenes was considerable during the 1990s. 

Inner Zone Journey continue the tradition of XMTP's catchy electro sound with soul touching lyrics by Sevren Ni-Arb as witnessed by the release of the SEVENTEEN singles released earlier. 

The new album will be released in March by Infacted Recordings.
